New Year, New Race, New Goals

So this is it. The time has finally come to get off the couch and start training again. It's been almost three months since my last marathon and before I get too accustomed to the couch potato life style, I've decided to start training for a new race. This time, I am going back to my favorite organization, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), and training with a team again.

My goals:

1) Raise $2,400 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

2) Raise awareness of blood cancers and inspire others to help

3) Stop watching reality TV (I know, I know, terrible) and start training again

4) Get stronger, and most of all, get faster

5) Finish the Avenue of the Giants race in less than 1:50

6) And finally, here's the biggie: Qualify for the Boston Marathon by running a marathon this fall in less than 3:40 (yeah, we'll see about that one!)

So this is it, guys! Please help me by donating to LLS and feel free to send over any tips and encouragement. I know I'll need it.
